Niagra Falls! Slowly I turned, step by step, inch by inch...I love that old Three Stooges bit. I never knew the falls froze like that. Nice that your MM wasn't NYC related.
I've been there and it's magnificant, but your pictures show much more than you can see when visiting. I love the arials. I just got a lot of spray in the face. Great pick and Happy Mute Monday!
Troll- I've seen it, and it is UNBELIEVALBE. Two questions go through your mind:
1- Where does ALL that water come from??? and B- Why doesn't it ever run out? And it is LOUD!!!
I didn't know there was a tunnel under it, and I didn't know the "barrel" that the guy was in was really an enclosed pod (see photo above), and he had a friend in it with him. Even though they both survived the falls with only minor injuries, when the authorities opened the pod, all kind of stupid fell out.
BuZZ- I LOVE the Stooges! Yeah, I usually try to do something a little off the norm. Thanks for noticing.
Great job... I'm trying to think of the movie that had scenes in the tunnels behind the falls... or was that in a nostril at Mt. Rushmore? Never mind, it'll come to me.
I've always wondered if the falls actually froze over. Now I know! Is there a fact in here somewhere, like NY has the most waterfalls, or the highest in the US? Cuz NYC and NF are on opposites sides of the state...
Still pretty pics though. Ever see them in person? What a sight!! Stop by, we'll do lunch :D
I tried to post a comment this morning and silly 'puter wouldn't let me! Anyway, this is definitely on my list of places to visit one day! And like that you didn't use an obvious NYC theme but iconic nonetheless! Happy MM:)
AWWWW. I love that you put Niagra Falls in this. That is where my hubby was born and raised, and Ive been there a couple of times, so enjoyed seeing it. Beautiful pics!
I'm a little bit country and a little bit cowgirl and a whole lot Southern. Jesus is first and foremost. Faith and family are everything to me. I'm married to Superman, Billy Graham and Tom Hanks all rolled into one. I'm on my honeymoon-have been for the last 32 years. I'm the luckiest person in the world, but HE acts like the lucky one. I have a daughter, a son and a daughter-in-love (not law); the best that money can buy except they're priceless. My first grandbaby Piper Ann was born on July 10, 2009, and she is a sweet little dumplin', beautiful as can be,and straight from Heaven! I also have a fat, spoiled weenie dog, named Deuce (from my former Harley days). He is secretly in love with Carmen the Wiener Princess. I guess you could say I'm blessed. Some people say I'm opinionated. Well I am. I'm a straight shooter... with my words AND my pistols. You don't have to wonder about what I'm thinking or where I stand. So feel free to listen in as often as you like.
Wow. What an awesome looking place. Always wanted to see it. Had no idea there was a city nearby.
